Our language school trip to Oxford was an exciting adventure that took place from Tuesday 14th March to Tuesday 21st March. Our journey began at 5:30 a.m. in Klagenfurt, where we, accompanied by our two teachers, Prof. Janota and Prof. Prohinig, boarded a train to Vienna airport. From there, we flew to London, and for some of us, it was our first flight. We spent the first day socializing and pondering about what the trip had in store for us. In the evening, we met our host families, talked to them, and went to bed, tired from our long journey.

The following day, and on Thursday, Friday, and Monday, we had English lessons in the morning, which were enjoyable, entertaining, and informative. Schools in England start relatively late, usually not before 9 a.m., so we did not have to get up early. On Wednesday afternoon, we had a comprehensive orientation tour of Oxford, where we learned about the city's rich history. On Thursday afternoon, we visited Blenheim Palace, an extensive area with a castle, a lake, enchanting gardens, and even a labyrinth. On Friday and Monday, we had some leisure time in the afternoon, and we explored several museums.

On Saturday, we visited Stonehenge, Salisbury, and the stunning Salisbury Cathedral. Sunday was the highlight of our trip because we finally travelled to London for a day. After a guided tour, we had four hours of free time, which we made the most of, and it was awesome. On Monday evening, we all met and went to a restaurant to finish off the trip together.

Although the weather was typically English, with some freezing temperatures, we were fortunate not to have too much rain, and we even got some sunny patches. Unfortunately, many of us were not happy with the food, but we all enjoyed the trip, nevertheless. It was a beautiful experience visiting the UK with friends, and although everyone was happy to be home again, we will never forget this fantastic trip to Oxford.
